FESCO Adds Second-Hand Ice-Strengthened Container Ship to Fleet

  • FESCO has added an ice-strengthened container ship to its fleet naming her the “Kapitan Byankin” to commemorate an ex CEO of Far Eastern Shipping Company, the Group said in a statement.

    The 2007-built 129.6 m LOA, 20.6 m beam vessel has a deadweight of almost 8,150 tons and a crew of 14. Till the end of 2023, she will be deployed in FESCO-operated services between the Russian Far East and the APR. In 2024, the Group intends to move the ship to its cabotage services.

    With the addition of the “Kapitan Byankin”, FESCO now operates a fleet consisting of 35 ships.
