FESCO-owned and operated “Sankt-Peterburg” container vessel has arrived at St. Petersburg on her maiden voyage from China and India, FESCO Transport Group said in a statement.
She delivered to St. Petersburg cars and car parts, household appliances and consumer goods loaded in five ports in China (Rizhao, Lianyungang, Shanghai, Ningbo amd Yantian) an in Mundra in India.
The ship serves the Group’s deep sea FESCO Baltorient Line (FBOL). The transit time to St. Petersburg makes 35 days from Yantian and 23 days from Mundra.
On September 26 the “Sankt-Peterburg” is setting off for a return voyage to deliver timber products, paper and pulp made in Northwest Russia and Belarus, vegetable oil, chemicals and reefer goods.
The 2,471 TEU “Sankt-Peterburg” was built in 2023 in China. The 31,500 dwt ship is 172 m LOA, 32.2 m beam, and has a crew of 19.
She is the third container ship in a series of six ordered by FESCO from a Chinese yard that are to join the Group’s fleet this year.
