Fish and seafood export from Primorsk Kray and Sakhalin region in the Russian Far East made some 1.1 mn tons, up 345 year-on-year, the press office of the RF Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) reports.
According to the Primorsk branch of the Rosselkhoznadzor, 14,674 shipments of fish and seafood were cleared for export from the region.
This includes 660.7 thousand tons of fish and seafood designated for China, 397.9 thousand tons for South Korea, 12.9 thousand tons for Japan, 9.6 thousand tons for Thailand, and 7.6 thousand tons for Nigeria. 18 countries have received fish and seafood from Primorsk Kray this year.
The most popular kinds of fish and seafood among the consignees are pollack, cod, and live crabs.
