Rapeseed Export Ban Extended

  • The Government of the Russian Federation has extended the temporary ban for rapeseed export. According to the government press office, the ban will be in force w.e.f. September 1, 2023 till February 29, 2024. An order to this effect was signed by RF Premier Mikhail Mishustin on August 25, 2023, the Government press office reports.

    The temporary ban was re-introduced in September last year and was then extended in March this year till August 31, 2023.

    The ban does not apply to rapeseeds exported to the Eurasian Union countries, exported by railway and road transport via the border crossing checkpoint in Zabaikalsk in the Russian Far East, and exported as humanitarian aid for foreign countries.
