The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has issued an order to introduce regulations on temporary bans or additional requirements for imported seeds.
Temporary bans will be introduced in case the Ministry receives information that the plants in question are genetically modified.
Additional will be introduced in case three or more other infringements on the part of the same company from the same country are detected within 12 months.
The new regulations enter into force w.e.f September 1, 2023.
