More than 95 Mn Tons of Belarussian Cargo Shipped via Murmansk

  • During the first four months of 2023, Murmansk Port handled more than 96 mn tons of Belarussian cargoes, Murmansk region Governor Andrey Chibis said in his social media account commenting his recent meeting with Belarussian Premier Roman Golovchenko. Partnership in foreign trade was one of the main issues on the meeting agenda.

    R.Golovchenko reminded that eight months ago the parties discussed the measures to take the relations between the two countries on a new level. In 2022, the trade turnover between Belarus and Murmansk region reached a record breaking figure of $286 mn, almost three times as much as in 2021.

    Both Belarussian exports to Murmansk and exports from Murmansk to Belarus grew manifold. This positive trend continued into the first quarter of 2023 as the mutual trade amounted to some $77 mn more that tripling year-on-year, R.Golovchenko said.
