A new customs and logistics terminal has been put into operation in Blagoveschensk near the bridge connecting Russian and China across the Amur River, the RF Ministry for the development of the Russian Far East and Arctic said in a statement.
The major investment project was implemented by Oktet Invest and Kanikurgan TLT, both residents of the Amurskaya Advanced Development Territory, in accordance with the agreement they signed with Far East and Arctic Development Corporation.
The new complex with a number of highly automated storage facilities is ready to offer intergrated customs services for import and exports goods.
The center includes a 3,000 sqm customs bonded warehouse with a temperature control area for registering goods arrival, inspection and survey and transit procedures.
The facility offers a loading zone capable of handling all vehicle types, a shelf storage space, refrigerator and freezer rooms for perishable goods, and loading and handling equipment.
The new customs and logistics center, when fully expanded, will be capable of handling up to 600 vehicles daily. Part of the existing territory of the center will be modernized to accommodate up to 40 wheeled self-propelled units and up to 100 long goods vans.
