Terminal Astafiev Starts Handling Export Containers

  • Terminal Astafiev in the port of Nakhodka in the Russian Far East has started handling export designated containers thus offering a full range of export and import services, the company said in a statement.

    Part of the shipment was loaded directly from rail to shipboard without storage at the terminal. The entire shipment consisted of 136 unit designated for Southeast Asia.

    At present, Terminal Astafiev loads and dispatches up to seven block trains a week, Containers are loaded both on fitting platforms and into gondola cars, which helps speed up the delivery.
