First Train Laden with Salt Leaves Kaliningrad for Moscow

  • On April 20 the first freight train laden with table salt left the station of Dzerzhinskaya-Novaya of the Kaliningrad Railway to the station of Baltiysk.

    At Baltiysk, the railcars will be rolled on board the ferry that will deliver them to the port of Ust-Luga. From there, the cargo will be carried by rail to the station of Lyubertsy-2 of Moscow Railway.

    The total weight of the shipment 520 tons. The salt is aimed for pharma and food production.

    The next train is scheduled to run in a two weeks’ time. In future, the frequency can make up to two trains a month.
