FESCO Starts Deep Sea Service from China to St. Petersburg

  • FESCO Transport Group has announced the launch of a new deep sea service branded FESCO Baltorient Line (FBOL) from China to St. Petersburg.

    The vessel «Kapitan Shchetinina» that FESCO recently added to its fleet set sail on the first voyage of the new service on March 17 from the port of Rizhao.

    The service rotation is as follows: Rizhao – Lianyungang – Shanghai – Ningbo – Yantian – St. Petersburg (Bronka) and back.

    The transit time is about 35 days, the service frequency is monthly to be increased in future depending on demand.

    During the year, FESCO intends to add several container vessels currently in the final phase of construction.

    The service is aimed for consumer goods, woodwork, chemical and metal products. FESCO also accept IMO cargo and temperature sensitive goods for transportation.

    According to FESCO, FBOL is the first Russian maritime container service between China and Russian Northwest via the Suez without transshipment in European ports.
