FESCO Transport Group has launched a new intermodal service from Vitebsk in Belarus to Shanghai via Vladivostok.
Containers are carried by rail from Vitebsk to Commercial Port of Vladivostok, part of FESCO, loaded on board a ship and delivered to Shanghai by FESCO-operated liner services.
The transit time is 30 days, the service frequency is fortnightly, in future, it can be increased.
The first block train carrying 62 FESCO-owned 40’ units left Vitebsk on February 14, 2023.
This is a second service FESCO has launched from Belarus, earlier the Group started a Minsk – Vladivostok service.
