RZD Business Asset and Terminal Astafiev have launched a new multimodal service from China to Russia. The first shipment of 122 container laden with paper and board was sent from the port or Rizhao to the port of Nakhodka at the end of September.
After unloading and completing customs procedures at Terminal Astafiev, the cargo was loaded onto RZD Business Asset’s platforms and dispatched to St. Petersburg, with the arrival of the train expected on October 28.
In future, the partners intend to transport cargo from Shanghai and Ningbo via Rizhao and Taicang to St. Petersburg and Moscow and also in the return direction.
According to RZD Business Asset, potentially, the route may be of interest for sawn goods manufacturers in the Russian Northwest.
