Грузооборот российского транспорта, 7 месяцев 2022: перевозки воздушным транспортом сократились более чем на половину

Sea Freight Up, Air Freight Down: Russian Transport Sector in January-July 2022

  • During January-July 2022, cargo volume carried by all transport modes in the RF transport system was down 0.8% year-on-year to 2.92 bn tons.

    According to the RF Statistics Agency, the largest volume was carried by road, up 0.6% year-on-year to 2.93 bn tons.

    Rail freight declined by 3.2% year-on-year down to 717.8 mn tons.

    Pipeline traffic was down 4.1% year-on-year to 635.8 mn tons. Gas pipeline transportation declined by 12.8% down to 296.2 mn tons. The volume of crude oil pipeline transportation increased by 4.9% to 313.7 mn tons and that of product pipeline transportation by 7.1% to 25.9 mn tons.

    Sea freight grew by 13.7% year-on-year up to 14.3 mn tons.

    Inland shipping volume increased by 0.1% year-on-year up to 53.9 mn tons.

    Air transport carried 0. 4 mn tons, down 52.9% year-on-year.

    In July 2022, all the transport mode carried 9.3% more cargo than during the same period of 2021. Sea freight grew the most, up 43.3% year-on-year.
