All of the vessels operated by Sovcomflot are currently deployed, Sergey Frank, Chairman of the Company Board, said in a meeting with RF President Vladimir Putin on August 18, the Kremlin press office announced.
‘In March and April, when it was raining sanctions and bans, it felt rather worrying, but at present our operations are rhythmic and well-organized, all our fleet is deployed,’ Frank said.
‘Those who imposed those sanctions, used this instrument before, also against other countries, thy aimed at paralyzing our industry, halt the normal processes and establish the monopoly of the West, and, primarily, of the unfriendly countries, in the freight market, but they failed to succeed,’ he continued.
All the fleet is in operation, and it has been a stabilization factor for the freight market. ‘Compared to the freight market conditions in March and April, when the market was dominated by Greek tonnage, the current situation is quite different, and the efficiency, including foreign trade efficiency, has increased,‘ Frank elaborated.
