The construction of a terminal to help develop the Pavlovskoe lead and zink concentrate field on the Novaya Zemlya Archpekago in the Russian Arctic has been included into the Norther Sea Route development plan, the press office of Rosatom State Corp. has said in a statement.
The terminal is to be built in 2025-2026. The target investment into the project is 3.8 bn rubles ($63.1 mn) including 1.8 bn rubles ($30 mn) of private investment. Rosatom, the RF Ministry of transport and the Government of Astrakhan Oblast will cooperate on the project.
The Pavlovskoe lead and zink concentrate field located on the Yuzhny Island of the Novaya Zemlya Archipelago is the fourth largest polymetallic lead and zink ore field in Russia.
