New Multimodal Service to Turkey

  • TransContainer has launched a new multimodal service between Russia and Turkey via Novorossiysk and Mersin, the company said in a statement.

    The service is designed to transport export cargo from different regions in Russia by rail to NUTEP container terminal in Novorossiysk for shipment by sea to Turkey, and loading import for the return trip.

    TransContainer provides its own equipment and organizes transportation on the territory of Russia and shipment by sea. Customers are also offered trucking services in Turkey.

    The service frequency is fortnightly. The transit time be sea is 6 days.

    The first shipment consisting of 120 containers arrived at Mersin on July 20.

    The new service complements the existing services from Novorossiysk to Istanbul and Samsun operated by TransContainer.
