Magadan Port Boundaries to Be Expanded

  • The boundaries of the sea port of Magadan in the Russian Far East will be expanded to include additional territories to develop new cargo handling and profducaiton facilities. A governmental order to this effect has been signed by RF Premier Mikhail Mishustin.

The new territory will host a fish processing cluster to be developed on the basis of the existing fish terminal. The new infrastructure will include a fish processing factory to produce semi-finished and ready-made fish products. Also, state of the art facilities will be developed to handle fishing vessels and cargo.

The new cluster is expected to help develop the regional economy and the fishery industry in general.
