FESCO to Participate in Terminal Project in Zabaikalsk

  • FESCO Transport Group and Zabaikalsk Kray Government signed an agreement on cooperation in developing a terminal project in Zbaikalsk on the Russian-Chinese border. The document was signed by Andrey Severilov, Chairman of the FESCO Board, and Alexander Osipov, Governor of Zabaikalsk Kray.

    The parties agreed to jointly develop a project to build a transport and logistics center branded Terminal Zabaikalsk in the settlement with the same name. The complex will incorporate a container terminal with an annual capacity of 450,000 TEU, customs bonded warehouses, railway facilities and other infrastructure.

    The investment into the project is estimated to make some 4 bn rubles ($64.5 mn). The project is expected to give jobs to more than 300 people and to generate almost 500 mn rubles in taxes, FESCO said.
