Delivery of high and heavy equipment for a new plant of AmKar that will produce 525 thousand tons of ammonia and 700 thousand tons of carbamide per annum in Shchekino is underway.
The equipment is shipped by sea and is transshipped onto inland vessels at the Bronka terminal in St. Petersburg. From there, the cargo is carried by rivers and canals to the construction site.
At present, two heavylift pieces of equipment, namely, a 270-ton carbon dioxide absorber and a 160-ton low and high pressure evaporator are being shipped by the Moscow Canal, the Moscow River and the Oka Rive.
The aggregates were delivered to Bronka in late October last year and were stored at the terminal till the start of inland navigation season.
One of these days they are expected to arrive to the village of Bynyrevo, from where they will be carried to the construction site overland.
