ollers Multimodal Container Service, a subsidiary of Sollers Group, is developing a project to organize and modernize the multimodal terminal for delivery car and parts to different regions of Russia.
According to the RF Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, the terminal capacity will make 25,000 units per annum, it will offer services to industrial companies and traders.
The potential suppliers and logistics schemes have been drafted preliminarily, the basic financial parameters have been defined and contracts for delivery from the APR countries have been signed, Yan Serenko, Sollers Multimodal Container Service, said.
He added that the first block trains from Vladivostok to other regions of Russia are to run this year.
The company intends to acquire 40’ units to transport cargo. It is planned that railway operators and road hauliers, shipping lines, container and railway terminals will be involved into transportation process depending on the region of destination.
