Russia – EU Trade Grew 66% in January 2022

  • In January 2022, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union increased by 66.2% year-on-year up to 26.1 bn euro.

    According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia was up 24.6% in January 2022 making 7.1 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union surged by 90% up to 19 bn euro.

    Russia rates the fifth among the largest importers from the EU after the USA, the United Kingdom, China and Switzerland.

    Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia ranks the third after China and the USA.
