The Main Department of State Expertise has approved of the project aimed at the reconstruction of the infrastructure of Cargo Area 1 of Murmansk Commercial Sea Port, the port said in a statement.
At present, Berth 2 of Cargo Area 1 is undergoing reconstruction and modernization. The berth length is to be increased up to 219.4 m.
After completing the project, the port will be capable of accommodating and handling vessels up to 229 m LOA and up to 32.24 m beam, including Panamax bulkers, at Berth 2.
