The Main Department of State Expertise of Russia has studied the project documentation and engineering surveys for the project of berth reconstruction in the port of Vostochny in the Far East Russia and granted its approval.
The project envisages extending Berth 51 and building a new pier with Berths 52 and 52A in the port of Vostochny. The annual capacity including the current capacity of Berth 51 currently in use will make 21.8 mn tons. The modernized infrastructure will allow of handling 337 vessel calls a year.
The new territory will accommodate fixed conveyor belts with power-drive stations, rail for vessel loading equipment, and other facilities.
