First Reefer Containers from Japan Travel to Europe by TransSib

  • Russian Railways, the Ministry of land, infrastructure, transport and tourism of Japan and FESCO have cooperated to transport the first laden reefer containers from Japan to Europe by the TransSiberian Railway.

    The containers are stuffed with food products, drinks, and pharmaceuticals that require temperature controlled transportation and storage conditions.

    Reefer container from the ports of Toyama and Kobe in Japan were delivered by FESCO-operated service to Commercial port of Vladivostok and sent to Europe by FESCO’s regular block train to St. Petersburg, from where they will be shipped by sea to Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
