New Rail Route for Perishables from China to Moscow

  • RZD Logistics has sent the first full block train with perishables from Shandong in China to Moscow, the company said in a statement.

    The train consisting of 50 autonomous reefer containers laden with 1,000 tons of with fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables and other food products and medicines left the station of Zibo in Shandong on February 1.

    The train routed via the Zabaikalsk-Manzhouli border crossing is expected to arrive to the station of Selyatino in Moscow region on February 18.

    Dmitry Murev, Managing Director of RZD Logistics, said the company intends to launch new train services for agricultural products this year.
