During January-November 2021 Russia’s export of sawn goods made 16.2 mn tons, down 5.6% year-on-year. According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in terms of value, sawn goods export was up 43.3% making $5.7 bn.
Logs export increased by 2.9% year-on-year up to some 13.2 mn cbm worth $984.9 mn, up 10% year-on-year.
Plywood export grew by 4.8% year-on-year to make 2.8 mn cbm worth $1.8 bn, up 67.8% year-on-year.
Wood pulp export in January-November 2021 amounted to 1.9 mn tons, down 10.4% year-on-year worth $1.2 bn, up 33.6% year-on-year.
Newsprint export made 846.1 thousand tons, down 14% year-on-year, worth $362.9 mn, up 7.8% year-on-year.
In November, sawn goods export made 1.3 mn tons, down 3.9% year-on-year and down 8.8% month-on-month worth $506 mn, up 56.1% year-on-year and down 10.8% month-on-month.
Logs export made more than 1 mn cbm, down 26% year-on-year and down 13.4% month-on-month. In terms of value, it decreased by 4.4% year-on-year and by 8.7% month-on-month to make $81.2 mn.
Plywood export in November made 246.2 thousand cbm, up 7.8% year-on-year and up 11.4% month-on-month. In terms of value, it doubled year-on-year and decreased by 0.4% month-on-month making $187.3 mn.
Wood pulp export made 180.8 thousand tons, down 3.3% year-on-year and up 7.3% month-on-month. In terms of value, wood pulp export increased by 50.2% year-on-year and by 8.6% month-on-month to make $124.4 mn.
Newsprint export grew by 21.1% year-on-year and declined by 7.9% month-on-month to make 79.9 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it was up 87.3% year-on-year and down 2.7% month-to-month to $42.9 mn.
