China – Europe Transit via Kaliningrad Up 2.6-Fold in 2021

    • Kaliningrad Railway carried 126.3 thousand TEU of containerized transit between China and Europe in 2021, up 2.6-fold year-on-year.

    84% of this volume was intermodal traffic. In 2020, intermodal shipments made 61.2% of the total transit.

    Rail transit via sea ports from China to Europe and from Europe to China made 106.4 thousand TEU in 2021, up 3.6-fold year-on-year.
