During January-October 2021, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union increased by 37.6% year-on-year up to 197.8 bn euro.
According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia was up 11.9% during the 10 months 2021 making 73.1 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union grew by 59.1% up to 124.7 bn euro.
Russia rates the fifth among the largest importers from the EU after the USA, the United Kingdom, China and Switzerland.
Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia ranks the third after China and the USA.
