During January-September 2021 Russia’s export of sawn goods made 13.7 mn tons, down 5% year-on-year. According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in terms of value, sawn goods export was up 39.9% exceeding $4.6 bn.
Logs export increased by 1.7% year-on-year up some 11.1 mn cbm worth $817.8 mn, up 12.5% year-on-year.
Plywood export grew by 8.9% year-on-year to make 2.3 mn cbm worth $1.4 bn, up 62.3% year-on-year.
Wood pulp export in January-September 2021 amounted to some 1.5 mn tons, down 9.4% year-on-year worth $978 mn, up 33.7% year-on-year.
Newsprint export made 679.5 thousand tons, down 21% year-on-year, worth $275.9 mn, down 5.2% year-on-year.
In September, sawn goods export made 1.5 mn tons, down 6.8% year-on-year and up 1.4% month-on-month worth $626.5 mn, up 65.1% year-on-year and down 1% month-on-month.
Logs export made more than 1.2 mn cbm, down 12.8% year-on-year and up 17.4% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 8.6% year-on-year and by 17.9% month-on-month to make $92.4 mn.
Plywood export in September, made 217.3 thousand cbm, down 14.7% year-on-year and down 10.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, it grew by 87.2% year-on-year and declined by 6.8/% month-on-month making to $191.3 mn.
Wood pulp export made 168.9 thousand tons, down 25.1% year-on-year and up 4.8% month-on-month. In terms of value, wood pulp export increased by 31.8% year-on-year and by 2.5% month-on-month to make $127.6 mn.
Newsprint export declined by 20.8% year-on-year and by 8.3% month-on-month to make 67.8 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it $34.4 mn, was up 20.7% year-on-year and level with August 2021.
