According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-September 2021 Russia exported 10.6 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, up 0.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export grew by 48.6% up to $2.8 bn.
Worth noting is that the Russian Government has decreed to limit nitric and compound nitrate containing fertilizers from December 1, 2021 through May 31, 2022 to 5.9 mn tons of nitric fertilizers and 5.2 mn tons of compound nitrate containing fertilizers.
Potash fertilizers export during January-September 2021 increased by 34.2% up to more than 9.2 mn tons. In terms of value, it grew by 62.5% up to some $2.1 bn.
Mixed fertilizers export exceeded 7.9 mn tons, up 0.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export grew by 51.9% up to more than $3 bn.
In September, nitric fertilizers export made 1.4 mn tons, down 6.9% year-on-year and down 3.5% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 63.5 year-on-year and by 0.9% month-on-month to make $455.5 mn.
Potash fertilizers export was up 33.9% year-on-year and up 86.3% month-on-month to 1.4 mn tons worth $426.1 mn, up 2.4-fold year-on-year and up 2.2-fold month-on-month.
Mixed fertilizers export in September declined by 18.8% year-on-year and increased by 5.5% month-on-month to make 972.4 thousand tons worth $366.6 mn, up 43.7% year-on-year and down 2.1% month-on-month.
