Freight rates remain high in the Baltic region. Shipment of deadweight cargo from the port of Ust-Luga to ARAG this week is at €57 pmt, Sea Lines shipbrokers report.
Most of the vessels are open in the ports of the lower Baltic. There are significantly fewer candidates in the ports of St. Petersburg and Ust-Luga.
According to Sea Lines, there are long queues to the berth from vessels operating on contracts in the port of St. Petersburg
On week 46, freight rates for 3,000-5,000 dwt bulkers from Ust-Luga to Riga made €35 pmt and those to Gdansk were €36 pmt.
Freight rates from Ust-Luga made €38 pmt to Szczecin, €42 to Flensburg, and €52 to Hamburg.
Rates from Ust-Luga were €57 pmt to ARAG, €59 pmt to East Britain, €62 pmt to West Britain, and €63 pmt to Dublin.
