Russia’s TransContainer in cooperation with Republic of Korea’s Pantos Logistics and PKP LHS of Poland have launched a multimodal service from Korea to Poland via the Russian Far East and Ukraine.
The first shipment consisted of 60 containers laden with electronic appliances, car componentry and consumer goods from Busan to Slawkow in Poland.
The containers were shipped from Busan by sea and left Nakhodka in the Russian Far East on board a block train running the TransSiberial railway on November 3.
The train is routed is routed via the Suzemka-Zernovo border crossing point on the Russian-Ukrainian border and the Izov-Hrubieszów border crossing point on the Ukrainian-Polish border.
The transit time by rail will make 15 days. It is planned to make the service frequency weekly in future.
