Volga Shipping Converts Tankers into Dry Cargo Ships

  • Volga Shipping has converted three of its 05074Т Volga-Flot tankers into dry cargo ships. Tow of the vessels have already set sail for their first commercial voyages during the 2021 navigation season.

    The “Volga-Flot 4” and “Volga-Flot 8” are currently proceeding to the Lake Onega to load gravel. The third ship, the “Volga-Flot 1” has successfully completed trials and is ready to start trading.

    The 138.3 m LOA, 16.7 m beam, 5,500 dwt vessels are classified by the Russian River Register and can make voyages in the Russian inland waterways and the coastal sea areas without sailing abroad.

    Earlier, in 2019, Volga Shipping already had three of its river tankers converted into dry cargo vessels.
