Sakhalin Shipping Company (SASCO) has been awarded a contract to transport cargo for Novatek. The first voyage is to start one of these days as the m/v “Selenga” will load equipment and construction materials in Vladivostok to deliver them to Sever Bay on the Taimyr Peninsula.
After that, should the weather conditions allow, the vessel will continue westwards to the port of Murmansk to take on board similar commodities for delivery to Sever Bay.
During the winter navigation season, the “Selenga” will be deployed on other shipping routes to get back to the Northern Sea Route in summer next year, SASCO said.
