During January-July 2021 Russia’s export of sawn goods made 10.7 mn tons, down 3.1% year-on-year. According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in terms of value, sawn goods export was up 37.5% making $3.5 bn.
Logs export increased by 11.5% year-on-year up to over 8.9 mn cbm worth $651.5 mn, up 18.3% year-on-year.
Plywood export grew by 12.5% year-on-year to make more than 1.8 mn cbm worth $980.5 mn, up 48.4% year-on-year.
Wood pulp export in January-July 2021 amounted to 1.2 mn tons, down 4.6% year-on-year worth $736.8 mn, up 33.1% year-on-year.
Newsprint export made 537.6 thousand tons, down 19.7% year-on-year, worth $207 mn, down 9.3% year-on-year.
In July, sawn goods export made 1.6 mn tons, down 14.9% year-on-year and down 27% month-on-month worth $772 mn, up 83% year-on-year and up 10.8% month-on-month.
Logs export made about 1.8 mn cbm, up 9.8% year-on-year and up 27.5% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 12.6% year-on-year and by 18% month-on-month to make $116.5 mn.
Plywood export in July, made 249.8 thousand cbm, up 11.1% year-on-year and down 10.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, it grew by 97.3% year-on-year and by 3.6% month-on-month making to $179.7 mn.
Wood pulp export made 174 thousand tons, down 9.2% year-on-year and up 4.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, wood pulp export increased by 55.1% year-on-year and by 5.6% month-on-month to make $133.5 mn.
Newsprint export declined by 22.9% year-on-year and by 21.1% month-on-month to make 68.3 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it was up 5.8% year-on-year and down 16.9% month-to-month to $31 mn.
