Container Transit Service from Korea to Turkey

  • TransContainer has organized its first shipment of containers from South Korea to Turkey via the Russian Far East and Novorossiysk in cooperation with Korean partners.

112 containers laden with polyethylene were shipped by sea from Pusan to Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company in the Russian Far East and loaded onto a block train to carry them to Novorossiysk. There, the cargo will be loaded on board a ship that will deliver it to Ambarli, Mersin and Iskenderun in Turkey.

The rail part of the route is expected to make 11 days. After the test shipment is completed, TransContainer intends to offer a regular service on the route with a monthly frequency.
