RZD Logistics, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, and Japan’s Nissin Corporation have signed a Memorandum on cooperation in developing transportation from Japan to Europe via Russia using the TransSiberial railway.
The parties intend to increase containerized freight traffic on the TransSiberian Land Bridge and develop new logistics products including those for e-commerce and container services from Japan to Europe.
In the current unstable situation in sea shipping railway can offer Japanese shippers stable and reliable service, RZD Logistics quotes Junichiro Watanabe, Senior Managing Executive Officer of Nissin Corporation, as saying.
