According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-June 2021 Russia imported 26.6 mn pairs of leather footwear, up 1.1% year-on-year. In terms of value, leather footwear import increased by 13.2% year-on-year down to $666.7 mn.
Clothes import into Russia grew by 22.6% up to $3.6 bn.
Cotton fabric import during H1 2021 increased by 32.2% up to 186.6 sq m worth $104.7 mn, up 7% year-on-year.
Cotton fabric export from Russia was down 1.4% to 47.6 mn sq m worth $26.8 mn, up 3.9% year-on-year.
In June, leather footwear import grew by 28.6% year-on-year and by 63.6% month-on-month making 3.6 mn pairs worth $99.4 mn, up 67.9% year-on-year and up 50.8% month-on-month.
Clothes import was up 34.3% year-on-year and up 16.8% month-on-month to $693 mn.
Cotton fabric import in June grew by 27.7% year-on-year and by 5.5% month-on-month amounting to 31.6 mn sq m worth $17.9 mn, up 64.2% year-on-year and up 2.9% month-on-month.
Cotton fabric export made 8.1 mn sq. m, down 4.2% year-on-year and up 26.6% month on- month, worth $4.7 mn, down 2.1% year-on-year and up 27% month-on-month.
