Sovcomflot Exits Bulker Segment

  • Sovcomflot has announced exiting the bulker shipping segment.

    “As a part of the ongoing fleet modernisation and optimisation programme, Sovcomflot disposed of some aging vessels. During H1 2021, two MR oil products vessels and two Panamax oil product tankers (partly owned through equity-accounted JVs) have been sold. In addition, two Aframax tankers, two Suezmax tankers and two Panamax dry bulk carriers were sold after the reporting date”, the Group said in a statement announcing its financial results for H1 2021.
