Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg and Universal Forwarder have unloaded a high-speed Talgo passenger train for Uzbek Railways.
The Talgo-250 train consists of two 67-ton locomotives and 15 railcars weighing between 14.6 and 18.3 tons depending on the type.
The train arrived to the port of St. Petersburg from Bilbao, Spain, on board the “Finnbreze” ro-ro vessel. From the port, it will travel almost 5 thousand kilometers to Uzbekistan by rail.
The train will be deployed transporting passengers on the Tashkent – Bukhara – Khiva route.
Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg and Universal Forwarder have been participating in the international project to deliver Talgo trains to Uzbekistan for 10 year already. This was the fifth shipment, the next one is expected to arrive in September.
