According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-May 2021 Russia exported 5.4 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, up 3.1% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export grew by 31.7% up to $1.2 bn.
Potash fertilizers export during January-May 2021 surged 69.7% up to 5.1 mn tons. In terms of value, it increased 67.4% up to more than $1 bn.
Mixed fertilizers export amounted to 4.6 mn tons, up 6.7% year-on-year. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export grew by 48.1% up to over $1.5 bn.
In May, nitric fertilizers export made 880.9 thousand tons, down 35.1% year-on-year and down 26.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, it grew by 4.1% year-on-year, but declined by 19.6% month-on-month to make $244.4 mn.
Potash fertilizers export increased by 29% year-on-year and by 32.8% month-on-month making 1.2 mn tons worth $259.9 mn (up 41.9% year-on-year and up 43.7% month-on-month).
Mixed fertilizers export in May decreased by 2.4% year-on-year and declined by 9.3% month-on-month to make 819.4 thousand tons worth $353.4 mn, up 68.8% year-on-year and up 1.3% month-on-month.
