TransContainer has launched a regular block train from Moscow to Kaliningrad with a weekly service frequency.
The first train left the station of Tuchkovo in Moscow Oblast on July 9 and arrived at Kaliningrad on July 12. The train is routed via Belarus and Lithuania with a transit time of 3 days.
Most of the commodities transported is construction cargo, consumer goods for Kaliningrad retailers, and industrial equipment for the local manufacturers,
According to Nikita Pushkaryov, Director, Sales and Customer Service, TransContainer, the company hopes to attract shippers that are currently using road transport to deliver their goods to Kaliningrad Oblast by offering competitive tariffs and short transit time.
