Novoroslesexport, a subsidiary of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port, has obtained a permission to develop a railway container handling front in Area 3 of the terminal.
The project envisages building four tracks capable of accommodating a total of 92 13-401 Type platforms (23 platforms per track), 31,000 square meters of warehousing space to handle, stuff and strip containers, and technology roads and engineering communications.
At present, NLE is using a railway front located in Area 2 that covers a territory of 85,800 and has three tracks that accommodate 72 platforms and a yard for 5,000 TEU.
The new railway front is to be put into operation in February 2022.
