GEFCO and FESCO to Cooperate on Intermodal Routes between Russia, US, Europe and SE Asia

  • GEFCO Group and FESCO Transportation Group have agreed to develop intermodal freight services between Russia, the US, Europe and Southeast Asia. The document was signed by Pavel Ilyichev, VP, Strategy and Finance, GEFCO Group, and Arkady Korostelev, FESCO Chairman and President, at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.

    The parties intend to cooperate organizing intermodal transportation of general, containerized, high and heavy and LCL cargo, including shipments for major international customers. The project will center on the Russian Far East so as to allow the companies to synergetically use their competencies to develop mutual projects.

    Joining the two major logistics players’ expertize will help develop both domestic and international cargo flows and increase container transit via Russia, P. Ilyichev commented.

    A.Kostelev said FESCO expects to expand their service geography in partnership with GEFCO.
