This week, the first block train carrying reefer containers laden with food products is coming from Qingdao in China to the station of Selyatino in Moscow region. The train is expected to arrive on June 8 or 9, the transit time will make thus just 17-19 days.
According to the Association of Product Sector Organizations, the train carries fifty 40’ reefer units owned by Refagrotrans. The containers are equipped with a remote atmosphere monitoring system allowing shippers to control the temperature and humidity inside and track their movement online.
The train left Qingdao on May 22. A return train with Russian made food products including beverages, confectionery and dairy product is to start from the Moscow region to China on May 25.
