According to the RF Federal Customs Service, during January-March 2021 Russia exported 724.6 thousand tons of unwrought aluminum, up 51.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export increased by 40.4% year-on-year up to $1.14 bn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export declined by 6.5% year-on-year making 142.3 thousand tons worth $1.1 bn, up 23.3% year-on-year.
Unwrought nickel export in January-March 2021 decreased by 48.8% year-on-year making to 13.3 thousand tons worth $239.5 mn, down 27.8% year-on-year.
In March, unwrought aluminum export amounted to 275 thousand tons, up 15% year-on-year and up 45.1% month-on-month. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export grew by 17.7% year-on-year and by 52.4% month-on-month to make $450.3 mn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export was up 40.1% year-on-year and down 14.3% month-on-month to 49.3 thousand tons worth $388.9 mn, up 2.1-fold year-on-year and down 9.7% month-on-month.
Unwrought nickel export in March was up 70.7% year-on-year and up 11.1% month-on-month to 7 thousand tons. In terms of value, it surged 2.6-fold year-on-year and grew by 15.8% month-on-month to make $128.2 mn.
