Freight On has won Russian Railways’ tender to carry cargo from China. According to the contract, the company will transport 50% of all import from China arriving at the station of Zabaikalsk.
During Q1 2021, the company carried 8.9 thousand tons of cargo from China on platforms, and in roofed and open railcars. The regional branch regularly delivers Russian companies’ export products to China. Previously, the railcars had to be returned to the stations of loading empty. Now, they are used to load import goods, mostly ferrous metals, chemicals, soda, machinery and equipment.
