The Main Department of State Expertize has approved the project and cost estimate documentation for the third stage of the Luzhskaya-Generalnaya rail station construction.
The station serves rail freight and from the port of Ust-Luga in the Baltic. The project envisages building the General rail yard to serve the terminals to be developed in the north part of the port.
On project completion, the yard will serve Eurochem’s mineral fertilizers terminal, and Novotrans Active’ universal terminal that are expected to handle 6.7 mn tons and 24.3 mn tons per annum respectively by 2030.
The maximum capacity of the yard will make 26 trains a day.
