Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex has laid down the eighth Aframax tanker. Cutting metal for the vessel started in October 2020, the scheduled delivery date is in 2022.
The 114,000 dwt tanker was ordered by Sovcomflot and will be chartered out to Rosneft. The contract for building two Aframax tankers was signed during the IV Eastern Economic Forum in 2018.
The 250 m LOA, 44 m beam vessel will be equipped with a helipad and use LNG as fuel.
