FESCO Buys Reefer Units

  • FESCO has acquired another 150 new 40’ reefer containers for its Dalreftrans reefer rail operator. The new units are to be delivered at the end of May.

    With the new batch of containers, the reefer park operated by Dalreftrans will exceed 2,000 units, or some 4,000 TEU. In late November 2020, the company took delivery of 100 new reefer containers.

    The new units are equipped with the state of the art Carrier PrimeLINE reefer device with a last generation Carrier Micro-Link 5 controller allowing of round-the-clock monitoring and maintaining the temperature regime.

    The new reefers are also equipped with GPS/GSM devices to monitor their movement and location and transfer information on cargo temperature online.  

    According to Dalreftrans, the demand for perishables transportation on the part of fish processing companies in the Russian Far East is growing.
